Leopards Blue 1 NW Ravens 3
The first match of the season saw the Blues at home to New Windsor Ravens. The game started off well with the Blues quickly getting into their stride and commanding the game, excellent passing enabled Esser, Jamie and Danny to get strikes on goal. The Blues kept the pressure on keeping the Ravens deep in their own half, eventually winning 2 corners. The first was narrowly saved off the line by Windsor, and the second rolled along the crossbar after a sublime strike by Aaron. The game eventually started to flow from end to end, but a superb defensive line; Ben, Brandon, Gradie, Rahul and Sachin, ensured that Windsor never troubled the keeper.
Half time 0-0
The second half started just as well, but in a run against the play Windsor managed to snatch a shot at goal and scored. The Blues came back quickly and won a penalty, but this was saved by the keeper. Windsor then started to attack hard but some great saves from Aston kept the game alive, but Windsor won a penalty, scored 0-2. From the kick off the Blues attacked hard and played Declan down the wing, a quick one, two and Declan scores. With five minutes remaining the Blues were attacking hard again with George almost scoring three times, but left the back door open, Windsor suddenly broke through and played the killer strike to end the game 1-3.
An excellent game of football from both teams, and some fine performances from everyone.
Man Of the Match: Sachin Rutti

Leopards Blue 2 Langley Galaxy 10
The second game of the season was a shocking display from an ill disciplined team. Langley Galaxy were outstanding with a display in one touch football rarely seen at this level, whilst the Blues repeatedly lost their positions and kicked the ball up the pitch in a kick and hope fashion.
But from every game a lesson can be learned and hopefully the Blues will take away the need to be hungry for their football. In the few examples of passing within the game the Blues were able to put Langley under pressure and snatch a couple of goals.
Hopefully next week will present a well drilled/disciplined team that are able to play a quality passing game and convert their opportunities into results.

Leopards Blue 3 Bedfont Eagles 5
Well what is life like in the junior leagues without a Goalkeeper?
The third match of the season at home against Bedfont Eagles started the same way as last seasons home clash. The Blues came out strong, controlled the first 5 minutes and delivered a quality strike 1-0. Bedfont responded with the ferocity that we have seen in the past, and the Blues were put under considerable pressure, but unfortunately the safe hands and confidence of a Goalie were not there and Bedfont swept through to a first half 1-5 lead. The first half was lost, but for no other reason than the lack of a goalkeeper!
The second half was completely different with the Blues commanding everything, the team had decided that they wanted to fight for a win. George decided to go into goal, a position he has not played in almost a year, and brought confidence back to the side. Continuous pressure on the Bedfont half was rewarded with a second goal for Declan Wong. Quality football was delivered by all of the midfield, robust defending from the back four and aggressive incisive strikes from the two forwards. The Blues cut through the Bedfont defence and after some fancy footwork from both Aarons, Esser, Jamie and Gradie a third goal was claimed.
But unfortunately the fight back was ad run out of time and the game ended 3-5 to Bedfont.
Definitely a game of two halves, or maybe two short games, one lost 1-5 the other won 2-0.

Eldon Celtic 7 Leopards Blue 2
The Blues were drawn in the SWOTC with Eldon Celtic, away, and travelled with hopes of reaching the second round. The game started off well with the Leopards swiftly attacking the Eldon Celtic end, piling on pressure and winning a well deserved goal. Eldon retaliated quickly with an equalizer, and then continued pressure to score three more swift goals. The Leopards rapidly lost heart, and came off at half time lacking spirit.
A stern half time talk gave them some fight and they attacked Eldon for the entire half, scoring within the first tem minutes. They fought for the rest of the half, and were unfortunate not to earn more reward. The pressure was maintained, but eventually Eldon were able to break through.
An unfortunate end to the blues SWOTC run.
Final result 7 – 2

Hillingdon Abbotts 3 Leopards Blue 5
Leopards blue went to Hillingdon Abbots with the clear intention of getting their season started. From the off they were fired up, and after some quality passing and strong tackling, kept the Abbots in their box. Kyle Crowe slotted the first goal in on 8 minutes. As usual they then collapsed and the Abbots swiftly equalized, but instead of the usual heads down, they came out fighting.
Leopards pushed Abbots back into their half and made them stay there all the way through to half time, with Danny Greasley making it 1-2 just before the break.
The second half started with Abbots having the downhill advantage, and quickly pressing the blues into their own half, 2-2. Now the blues wanted to take control again, so they spread the game wide and stretched the Abbots across the pitch. Some fantastic passing utilising both wingers, beautiful one twos, and Abbots were penned in their box again. A cracking corner from Aaron Ross, headed towards goal by Jamie Dougan, saved from the line and finished by Aaron Sahota 2-3. From the restart the blues were straight in and some controlled direct passing sent Danny off into the Abbots area, a sublime chip and the score 2-4.
Abbots restarted and pushed deep into the blues half, some strong defending from Sachin Rutti, George Jago and Ben Peplow kept them at bay. The ball was cleared and sent into Abbots territory, but a poor pass let the Abbots attack with some excellent football; 3-4. The blues restarted and needed to finish the game off, with 3 minutes to go a superb pass from the midfield out to the left wing, quick one two and Declan Wong placed the ball into the top right corner, 3-5.
The final whistle blew and the blues had taken their first blood of the season!
Final score 3-5

Leopards Blue 6 Britwell Boys 2
After a truly shocking training day friendly the Blues decided that they wanted to play football. The bare eleven turned out to challenge Britwell Boys, and the knowledge that no one could be replaced only relocated ensured that everyone put in a sterling performance.
From the kick off the Blues attacked the game forcing Britwell into their own half for the first ten minutes. The Blues had multiple chances on goal, but nothing went home…it looked like history could repeat itself. Britwell then pressured the Blues and things started to get nervy, and then a strike from their number 8 put them ahead. The blues came to life with some excellent passing, which enabled Kyle Crowe to get the equalizer which was quickly followed up by a cracking strike from Esser Randhawa. The rest of the half was closely fought, and the back four worked exceptionally hard with fine tackles from Aaron Sahota, Sachin Rutti and Rahul Kumar. Brandon Currie was exceptional commanding his area well, and ensuring that Britwell could not get the equalizer before half time.
The second half started off in a different vein! The blues commanded in style with fantastic football from the midfield pairing of Gradie Boyce and Aaron Ross. The ball was played wide and Declan Wong’s pace proved too much for Britwell, which resulted in a sublime strike from Danny Greasley. From the restart Gradie was straight in and the ball was retained by the blues, passed out to the right, Esser laid it inside to Aaron Ross who drilled the ball over the keeper into the top corner; 4:1.
The game restarted, the blues pushed forward, and Britwell lobbed the ball over. George unfortunately raised his hands to protect his face..handball. Britwell stepped up for the free kick and a rocket was unleashed from 30 yards out straight into the top corner; 4:2. The blues restarted and showed the opposition how to play football. George Jago tackled ferociously and sent the ball over the top to Gradie, who laid it off to Kyle. The keeper came out, Kyle sidestepped and put a slow motion ball into the bottom corner. Britwell restarted, Gradie stole it and popped it over the top…after some heading back and forth the ball landed at Danny’s feet. One on one with the keeper, some quick foot control, the keeper goes to ground and Danny places the ball into the net.
The game ended 6:2

Maidenhead Warriors 3 Leopards Blue 4
On a soaking wet pitch, on a blustery Sunday afternoon another Leopards game of two halves!
The Blues kicked off and attacked the Warriors instantly, a quick shot on goal; cleared by the defender to halfway, flicked on and collected by the lone striker, and ten seconds later in the back of the Blues net. From the restart utter confusion reigned and within two minutes the ball is back in the Blues net..2:0 within five minutes.
The Blues restarted and began to take the game to the opposition, some smooth, intelligent football ensured that they started to take control of the game. The play went back and forth with the back four working really hard to maintain a secure rear line, a real midfield battle got underway. Gradie, Aaron R, Declan and Esser were stretched across the pitch, and the ball was finding it’s way deep into the Warriors half. Kyle and Aaron S connected with these through balls, but were unable to drill them home, until a sweet ball came through from Esser to Aaron S, who placed it into the corner of the net.
Warriors restarted and the Blues were straight in, attacking the opposition hard. Aaron R had two good strikes from outside the box, but they went to the keeper. Warriors retained possession and came at the blues; Sachin, Ben, Jack and Danny battled hard but they broke through and stole a third just before the break.
A stern half time talk and the Blues went back onto the pitch with only one thought in mind…a win!
Warriors restarted and the game seemed to be in stalemate, the midfield battle was on again. Twenty minutes of end to end football, with some fine tackling and saves by both sets of defenders and keepers. Brandon was put through his paces, and not found wanting at all. With ten minutes left to play some tactical movement within the Blues saw Declan switch with Esser, and Kyle switch with Aaron R, this in addition to the half time switch of Danny with Aaron S, the midfield struggle was over. The blues played some beautiful football with possession retained, until a sweet through ball to Danny put him one on one, and the result was certain…3:2.
From the restart Kyle intercepted the ball, passed out wide to Declan, returned to Kyle, diagonal ball through to Danny, across the six yard box and slotted home by Kyle…3:3
Warriors restarted, Aaron R stole the ball on the first pass, back to Gradie, out to Esser, down the line to Danny, inside to Kyle and a great dink…3:4
With two minutes to go it became a game of defence at all costs. Declan, Rahul, Sachin, Jack and Aaron S made sure that the ball only ever went off the pitch and eventually the whistle blew.
A well deserved victory for a team that made two early mistakes, but battled from the tenth minute through to the end. The Blues fitness showed through on a pitch that was no better than a mud bath, a fine midfield battle which was won through stamina and grit.
The entire team deserved an award for their performance, but only one can be man of the match.

Leopards Blue 8 George Green Dragons 0
The Blues were allocated the North Pitch for their home game at Cherries against George Green Dragons, a step up from junior to full size.
Well what a difference the extra width gives to a game of youth football. The size of the pitch brought the Blues into their own, ,the need to make the ball do the work forced the Blues to play a sublime passing game.
The first half started with a hard fought battle to control the midfield, but with Aaron R and Gradie that battle did not last long, and George Green were soon penned into their own half. Brilliant attacking play by Declan, Aaron S, Danny and Kyle kept the keeper busy, but clearly the goal was cursed, as no one could slot the ball home. A combination of quick feet, daisy cutters, placed shots, headers, strikes and set pieces could not defeat the George Green keeper. The keeper kept clearing with great fly kicks, but these kept being sent back by all four of the defensive line, and eventually a great six yard cross connected with Declan’s boot to find the back of the net. The Dragons restarted, but could not break through Jack, Ben, Jamie, Sachin or Gradie. The ball was back in their half, and with one minute left a free kick was awarded to the Blues. Aaron R struck the ball perfectly and the keeper pulled out a save worthy of the premiership…half time 1:0
The second half started with the Dragons fired up and ready for a fight, they attacked the Blues, and each time Brandon was swift on the mark. They attacked three times throughout the game, twice intercepted by Brandon and once dealt with by Jack. Then the Blues stepped it up!
Half time had seen Aaron R swap with Kyle to give an attacking front line of Declan, Aaron R, Danny and Aaron S, with Gradie and Kyle in the midfield, and Ben, Jack, George and Rahul at the back. The Blues played some fantastic football, ensuring that there was always a man covering and maintaining triangles all over the pitch. Possession was the key, and the Dragons hardly even managed to touch the ball except for their kick offs. Everyone of the Blues was involved in the play, with the ball moving swiftly around the pitch, and the speed of play up both wings was superb. The back four were solid ensuring that play never entered the Blues half, and the ball was sent intelligently back up to the attack. Fantastic one twos were played on both wings, and accurate line passes were completed to ensure that every attack resulted in quality crosses through the box. These were dispatched into the back of the net by Kyle, Jamie, Danny (2) and Aaron R (3), and their keeper worked hard to to prevent further goals by Aaron S, Gradie and Declan.
A superb performance by a team that truly enjoys playing on the bigger stage, final score…8:0
Man of the match: Aaron Ross

Golden Eagles 0 leopards Blue 1
What a difference a week makes!
The Blues arrived at Upton Court Park to take on Golden Eagles, and started off well with a swift attack into the Eagles half. The game stayed that way for the next five minutes, and culminated with a corner being earned for the blues. A perfect cross in from Aaron R, flicked on by Declan, touched by Sachin and headed home by Danny. Golden Eagles restarted and attacked the Blues hard, forcing Ben and Sachin to work hard. The pressure was on and their number 20 broke through, but a strong tackle from Sachin brought him down on the edge of the box…penalty. Number 20 took the kick, but sent it high. The rest of the half was a midfield battle on note with Gradie, Aaron R, Declan and Esser eventually taking control although the Eagles were able to break through just before the break. Brandon was swift off his line and put a thumping tackle through the ball to save the day.
The second half started off with the Blues stealing the ball from the kick off, and charging down the pitch again, but a robust Eagles defence cleared their lines. The game went end to end with the Blues back four holding their line well, and the majority of the clearance being made down the left side through Kyle and Declan. Eagles broke through on three occasions, and all three strikes rebounded off the post, the Blues were clearly having a lucky day. Brandon was not asked to do a great deal at the back, but on every occasion he was called for he came out quickly and took the ball well. Rahul and George came into their own in the second half and ensured that the left and right back positions were solid. There was some outstanding defending from Ben and Sachin, with Gradie working the entire midfield to preserve a very tenuous one goal advantage.
Last week they played beautiful football and truly deserved their eight goal victory, this week they were exceptionally lucky but managed to grind out a victory.
Man of the match: Brandon Currie

Saturday Cup
Leopards Blue 2 Taplow Boys 1
The Blues turned up early on a bitter saturday morning at Farnham park for the opening game of the Burnham Invitational Cup. From the start the boys attacked Taplow and within 5 short minutes had three good strikes on goal, all of which were fielded by the Taplow keeper. Then everything went to pot, the defensive line fell into disarray, midfield failed to communicate or look for searching passes, and everyone had lost any hunger for the ball.
Taplow took full advantage of the shambles and pressed the Leopards into their own half, and after some five minutes of persistent pressure drilled a shot into the net.
The remainder of the first half saw the blues generally in control of the game, but more from luck than judgement. At half time all 11 boys came off feeling pretty sorry for themselves, and moaning about the cold.
The second half started off pretty much as the other half ended, with the blues dominating the possession. Taplow were still hungrier for the ball, but the blues seemed to be able to keep a very loose handle on the game. The break eventually came about 15 minutes into the half when Irfan managed to get a touch on the ball in a 6 yard box scramble. Taplow came straight back at the blues, but this was quickly rebuffed, and the blues attacked again. The ball was struck at the keeper, saved and cleared out, but only as far as Gradie; who struck the ball perfectly to put the ball over the keepers head from about 30 yards.
The final minutes of the game were played out, and the blues managed to salvage a result from what was a shocking performance, albeit with some moments of quality.
The opening stages of the Invitational Cup are played on a 5 way league basis, with the top four qualifying through.
Final result 1:2 to the Leopards…..3 points

Leopards Blue 6 Britwell Boys 1
After three long weeks of miserable weather and postponements the Blues finally walked onto a pitch at Cherry Orchard. The game was the League cup quarter final against Britwell Boys. Last year this game went to penalties and the Blues went out 5:4, so this year we were looking for a different result.
The Blues kicked off and pushed straight into the Britwell half. The opening fifteen minutes was a real battle for the midfield, which was touch and go, but eventually Irfan and Jamie managed to wrestle control. The ball was played wide at every opportunity, both Declan and Esser managing to deliver back into the box, but the Blues unable to convert. The defensive line worked hard to ensure that Britwell were pinned in their own half, with Ben and Ajay doing a good job playing the ball up the line. After approximately 20 minutes Aaron S played the ball through to Irfan, touched on to Jamie who laid across the six yard box for Danny to tap home. 1-0
Britwell were shocked, but came out fighting from the restart and played some good passing football. The ball was played through along the line and the Britwell player won a corner, delivered perfectly onto a Britwell head into the back of the net.
Half time 1:1
A stern talking to at half time, along with the question ‘Do you want to win?’ fired the Blues up. Britwell restarted, and the Blues were straight in attacking them ensuring that the game stayed in the Britwell half. Sachin, Aaron S, Kyle and Ben were rock solid at the back refusing to allow any Britwell boy near the box. Intelligent play by the Blues kept the ball being played wide, where Declan and Jamie commanded the pitch. Aaron R and Gradie took over in Midfield, where the fight was over and decided where the game should be played.
The Blues were completely in control, and everyone was being intelligent and generous with the ball. The ball was played through to Irfan, who charged through the Britwell defence and struck at goal…2-1. From the kick off the Blues were swift in and the ball was played out to Declan who passed through to Aaron R, who passed into the net…3-1. The game restarted and the Blues steamrollered through forcing Britwell back to their box. The Blues won a corner, played short to Declan, crossed into the box by Aaron R and quickly drilled into the net by Jamie…4-1.
Britwell kicked off again, and yet again were shut out by Sachin, Aaron S and Gradie. The ball was played wide again, Jamie went down the line and crossed in to Danny who put it away…5-1. Into the last five minutes and some changes were needed, to relieve the keepers chill. A very concerned Declan went into goal to replace Brandon, who swapped with Gradie in Midfield, Ajay replaced Ben at right back and Esser went onto left wing. The Blues pushed down the right, Irfan threaded the ball through to Aaron R who was taken down…free kick.
Aaron R stepped up for the kick, on the left side of the area, and curled the ball into the bottom right of the goal…6-1
A sublime performance from a team that is starting to understand the beautiful game, a few moments where they all bunched and refused to communicate, but overall great use of the width and intelligent, generous football.
A well deserved result
6-1

Leopards Blue 8 Taplow Boys 3
The Blues last outing was on the 13th December in the League Cup, five weeks of miserable weather has kept the team under wraps and the question was ‘ How rusty are we? ‘
The Blues kicked off, passed out wide to Declan who ran down the line passed inside to Aaron R, crossed in and headed home by Irfan; 1 minute played 1-0. Taplow restarted and pushed in on the Blues, who comfortably defended and sent the ball back into the opposition half. The Blues then started to lose their way, with the midfield leaving a gaping hole in the centre of the pitch whilst they all sat on the left hand side. Taplow took advantage and played down the middle in numbers, putting pressure on both Aaron S and Sachin. Ben and George were forced to come inside to help and eventually Taplow broke through with a strike, 1-1.
The Blues restarted and attacked Taplow hard, but still insisted on playing down the left, which made it easy for Taplow to defend, then the ball was played through to Danny who laid out wide right to Jamie. Jamie received, leant back and lobbed the ball clean over the keeper’s head, 2-1.
Taplow restarted and again attacked down the mid-right, sucking Aaron S and Ben into the attack, they played deep into the corner where Sachin came across to deal with it. Taplow side stepped and Sachin slipped, penalty to Taplow, 2-2.
The Blues restarted with energy and anger at the decision, the ball was played round well, and Gradie sent a clean pass through to Esser who took it deep right and pulled back for Danny, who played square to Aaron R to strike into the top right corner, 3-2 at half time.
Some choice words at half time to remind the boys that they had the whole pitch to cover and the game restarted. The ball was swiftly taken away from Taplow and the Blues started to dominate the game. The Blues attacking force had the run of the pitch and were happy to play the ball down both flanks. Irfan laid the ball wide left to Declan, who played a sweet one two, and sent Irfan clean down the line, he cut inside and drove the ball into the back of the net, 4-2.
From the restart the Blues were in again, denying Taplow of possession, played down the middle, sent wide and tapped out for a corner. Aaron R delivered into the box, where a crazed scamble to kill the ball ensued resulting in a strike from Kyle bouncing off the keeper to Irfan to send home, 5-2.
From the kick off Taplow were able to put together some lovely football which pushed their player deep into the right corner, Rahul tackled and the ref blew for a penalty kick again, 5-3.
Gradie restarted and ensured that possession was maintained by the Blues, who played some lovely football pushing the entire midfield forward, penning Taplow in their own box. The ball was sent right and delivered back just outside the box to Gradie who hammered the ball passed the keeper, 6-3.
Taplow were now starting to lose faith, and this was evident in their hunger for the ball, the Blues quickly regained the ball which was laid up the line by Ajay to Jamie, who passed to Danny to take deep into the left corner. A very composed Danny used his excellent footwork to weave around the last man and lay a short ball to Kyle, dead centre in the box to tap in and make the score 7-3.
Taplow were destroyed, but the Blues were eager to continue and quickly dispossessed the opposition. There were only three minutes to go and the ball was moving around the pitch between the boys, after some clever passing the ball came to Aaron R who showed great footwork to beat three players ut struck wide. The keeper kicked out and the ball was won by the Blues, played through to Gradie who drilled home to finish the game, 8-3.
A great game, which showed that the Blues were not too rusty after the Christmas break. A fine restart to the season, with a hat-trick from Irfan and a brace from Gradie.

Saturday Cup
Leopards Blue 0 Bedfont Green 8
The Blues turned up on a frozen Saturday morning to play Bedfont Green in the Saturday cup.The ground was hard with icy patches, but defrosting and the game had to be played. The boys were not in the right frame of mind,or in the mood.
The first half was pretty even with the game being played end to end and few chances to either team, but then a quick counter attack put Bedfont through and the blues went one down. They restarted but quickly gave the ball away, and even more rapidly paid the price...half time 2-0
The second half was a complete disaster with extremely poor football being played by the blues.Bedfont capitalised on the errors and were soon monopolising the game. The blues were able to play some good football which saw them in attacking positions, but they were never a real threat and the game ended 8-0.
Man of the match: None awarded

Leopards Blue 0 Wexham United 3
The second League game since the break had the blues away to Wexham United which should have influence on the league results. The match started off with both teams fighting to control the midfield, the play went end to end and some fine defending was seen from both teams. The pitch was extremely wide and neither team used the width to their advantage. The blues managed to put good pressure on Wexham, winning more corners, but Wexham kept the ball out out of goal,Wexham managed to end the half with a fine counter attack which saw the main striker one on one with Brandon..half time 1-0
The game restarted and the blues started to lose their focus with the midfield wandering out of position. This allowed Wexham to get better control of the game and they soon made this work to their advantage.Fifteen minutes into the half saw their striker sitting in 30'of space allowing him to take a pop at goal which just managed to beat the keeper..a strike that should never of happened! The blues took the kick off and gave the ball straight back to Wexham again, they then fought hard to get the ball back and placed Wexham under pressure with a number of strikes on goal, but all from outside the area.In the last minutes of the half Wexham wormed their way into the blues area and after an intense scramble the ball popped up into the net.
Full time 3-0

Leopards Blue 5 West Drayton Explorers 0
A change of tactic saw the Blues training on tarmac this weekend, just to remind them how fast the ball can travel and just how fast they need to react. A few games of throw-in basketball, football tennis and 6-aside football ensured that the Blues were swift, communicating and throwing the ball well.
So at 2.30 they kicked off against the Explorers, and what a difference from last week; sharp snappy passes, swift reactions, efficiency of foot and great communication. The Blues were in control from the off and within five minutes were 1-0 up through a sweet goal from Danny. Explorers restarted and attacked the Blues, but there was no way past the back four who all stood firm and tackled hard. The Explorers tried hard to send the ball through, ,but along the ground Sachin and Ben were impassable and in the air Jack’s head was outstanding. Esser had free reign at right back and just kept sending the ball forward. Aaron and Gradie were solid in midfield with some great control and passing; the midfield battle never really commenced as they were always in control. After roughly fifteen minutes the ball was played out to Aaron S, who played it through to Danny in the corner, a sharp turn and bang…2-0.
Explorers kicked off again and Aaron S was straight in, ball stolen played across to Declan who pulled it out and down the left wing. Two touches later and the ball is out right, back in the corner with Irfan, who replicates Dannys strike and sends the ball into the net …3-0.
A superb first half!
Explorers came out in the second half looking to bring the game back, and it was shaky for a while after making three changes at the break. Ajay needed time to settle in left back, but once he relaxed was quite comfortable with the game. Jamie was slow to start, but after ten minutes was back on form battling down the right wing. After ten minutes of Explorers pressure, which was dealt with time and time again by the back four, the Blues started to get back on top. The Ball was played through by Esser deep into the other half, Jamie was fast through and won the throw. Esser takes quickly and some swift feet by Jamie confused the defender and won the penalty. After some debate Aaron gave the ball to Danny, to set him up for the hat-trick…4-0. Brandon was superb throughout the pressure period, swift off the line and desperate to maintain a clean sheet.
Explorers restart and the Blues stole the ball instantly, with Aaron sending the ball through for the strikers to chase, pushed right to Jamie who went straight into the box and put the ball in the net…5-0. There were further attacks on the Explorers half which saw Aaron R have two sweet shots on goal, Kyle had two chances in the box and Aaron S missed out on a chance in the first half.
All in all a great game from the Blues, which proved they could play an intelligent and hungry game of football. Too many good moments to describe and everyone deserves a mention for the great football. Brandon was excellent in goal, but requested the chance to play out field for the last ten minutes where he quickly got stuck in.

6th March 2010
The last time these two teams met the game went in one direction, with the blues controlling the game. This time it was not as easy for them, the explorers clearly wanted revenge. The game started off well with the blues attacking into the explorers half, but they soon fought back and the game started to ebb and flow.
The blues were not as strong as usual in the midfield, and explorers seemed to be slightly hungrier for the game. Sachin,Esser, Ajay and Shane worked hard at the back to keep explorers under control, whilst Aaron R, Aaron S, Declan, and Jamie worked hard in the midfield to push the game forward. Eventually Aaron R broke through and closed down on goal to beat the keeper 1-0.
This rallied explorers who came back hard, putting the midfield under pressure and quickly playing the ball over the top for their striker to run in on Brandon. The strike was taken, Brandon got his fingers to it but the shot was hard enough to break through 1-1. The blues restarted in their usual manner, by giving the ball back to explorers who sent it back over the top and gifted a second goal 2-1.
The blues started the second half in a dejected manner, and explorers took advantage of both the mood and the downhill advantage. Five minutes into the half they lobed the ball back over the defense and their striker was back in on Brandon, again he got his fingers to the ball, but it squeezed through along the ground into the net 3-1.
The blues restarted, and now they had some fire in their bellies. They attacked the explorers half, with Aaron R driving forward bringing the rest of the team with him. Irfan, Danny and Kyle battled hard, with Esser and Sachin squeezing the game, and Aaron R was put through for his second clean strike on goal 3-2.
Ten minutes left and the blues could see victory, and now they played their hearts out, with strikes on goal from Jamie, Danny, Irfan, Declan and Kyle…but no one could get it in the net.
Final whistle 3-2 to explorers.

George Green dragons 0 Leopards Blue 11
On a sunny march afternoon the blues visited George green for the return game against the Dragons. The blues were fired up after the defeat at West Drayton on Saturday, and unfortunately the dragons were to be the victims.
The game started off well with the ball being stolen easily from the dragons, and sent through via Gradie to Aaron R, who took on the keeper 1-0. The game restarted and Kyle poached the ball, sent out wide to Jamie who went one on one with the keeper 2-0. Dragons restarted and pushed towards the blues goal, but the solid back four closed them down fast. Sachin, Jack, Brandon and Esser were completely impenetrable, and the game was soon kept in the george green half. Danny took a goal kick, which was quickly tipped forward by Jamie to Kyle who flicked out to Aaron R, through on goal 3-0.
The midfield battle had never started, so from the restart the blues took possession and played some fantastic football. The ball ended out wide with Jamie who ran in on goal 4-0. George green then had a short spell of possession, but Aaron S was terrier like in midfield and laid the ball back for Jamie who charged through…5-0
The second half started as the first ended, although the blues had been reshuffled. This allowed for some more excellent football, which pushed Aaron S into the box, some swift passing and Aaron S put the ball away 6-0. From the kick off the blues were back in possession, but they seemed to have lost their rhythm, and george green were able to have a short spell of possession. The blues settled down, and started passing again, which gifted the ball to Danny who placed it sweetly in the net 7-0.
The dragons restarted, but again gifted the ball to the blues within seconds. The ball was given out to Declan again, who had been rampant on the left wing, he put a six-yard cross in, which connected with Aaron S but didn’t quite have the legs, so Kyle sent it home 8-0. Again the dragons gifted the ball to the blues with Jack, Esser and Sachin having the time to play across the back, as well as giving them the chance to push forward. Some swift footwork from Danny outside the box, forced a free kick. Jack stepped up, and took a good strike which just scraped past the left post…it was not to be his day!
The goal kick landed at Jamie’s feet, pushed it forward to Kyle, cut back inside to Danny, laid across the box to Aaron R and drilled into the net 9-0. They restarted again, and again the blues squeezed the game, the ball was pushed into the dragons area, cleared as far as Jamie, who took a strike from just inside the half which sailed over the keeper into the net 10-0.
With just two minutes to go the dragons tried once more to penetrate the blues defence, but no luck..the ball was played wide to Declan who took it all the way to the dragons goal line, excellent footwork with a quick one two and Declan sent the ball into the far side netting 11-0.
Whilst the blues were dispatching a high number of goals there were some very fine performances elsewhere on the pitch. The defence was truly robust with excellent passing and communication; the two full backs were continuously pushing forward to support the wingers, and the two centre backs maintained the flow of play out wide. Ajay was superb supporting Declan and Aaron S on the left wing, whilst Sachin and Jack were unbeatable in the centre. Irfan was unlucky with at least two headers, and three strikes not finding the target.
A completely different game to Saturday, albeit to weaker opposition, but the football was excellent with everyone holding their position and their mark. A team that was playing for each other, who set up their chances and ensured the result.
Well done blues…long may it last!

Leopards Blues 2 Maidenhead Warriors 2
Todays match was always going to be tough for the Blues. The previous game against the Warriors was the best game I had seen the Blues play, and the win that day was well deserved.
The game started slowly for the Blues, with the first five minutes spent chasing down the ball. They then started to relax and settle into the game, which allowed the midfield battle to start. This was a truly intense battle with the need for some early changes to ensure victory. Gradie was not quite on form, so Aaron S stepped into the holding mid role putting Irfan out on the right wing. This strengthened the game, and soon the Blues seemed to be getting the advantage with Danny breaking through, laying off to Declan who dragged back for Aaron R to have a crack…just missing the top corner. Warriors were able to fight their way into the Blues half, but the defensive line was strong with Ben, Sachin, Billy and Eeser standing firm.
The battle continued in the midfield with Declan, Aaron S and Aaron R covering the ground well. Irfan was patiently waiting out on the right wing, silent as a lamb and completely ignored by the Warriors. Aaron S played a short ball to Kyle who sent out wide to Declan, fired down the line to Danny, who crossed across the six yard box for Irfan to tap into the net unchallenged…1-0
The Warriors restarted and put immediate pressure on the Blues, some good passing play put the ball through and the defence struggled to get it back under control. The midfield did not chase back fast enough, which added to the pressure and eventually the warriors broke through…1-1
The second half started much stronger for the blues, with greater aggression and urgency off the ball. The midfield battle was slowly being won by the Blues, with the game being spread wider. Gradie was back in the holding midfield, and doing a good job. Aaron R and Irfan were covering both wings, with Declan in centre left mid. Kyle and Danny were busy up front, and the passing was getting better by the minute. Sachin and Aaron S were tight in the centre back position, with Ajay and Eeser in both full back positions. Aaron R and Irfan had the run of the wide play, the passing was excellent and the Warriors were struggling. Eventually Aaron R laid in a cross which set Kyle unchallenged in-front of goal…2-1.
As in the first half this goal fired up the Warriors again, and they played some superb football, challenging the midfield superiority of the Blues. A lucky through ball beat both Sachin and Ajay and the Warriors nicked back a goal…2-2.
The warriors now clearly saw blood, and attacked the Blues with venom, but the back four and the keeper were exceptional. Brandon was swift off the line, to deny the warriors, and robust in goal to ensure that the Blues stood a chance. This pressure ended with a goal line scramble, from a corner, which saw Sachin and Ben defend the goal determinedly, and finally saw Brandon snatch the ball off the line. This got the Blues restarted and the ball was maintained in the Warriors half, they attempted to force the Blues back into their own half, but the counter attack play was superb. The Blues used the two wide players well and the warrior’s goal was put under threat. Finally the ball was played down the middle to Kyle, a swift one two with Danny, dragged back for Billy who played the ball through the keeper’s legs…3-2.
The referee was writing down the scorer, when the Warrior’s manager started screaming for offside. The linesman’s flag was raised, the referee turned to look at the linesman, and the goal was overturned…parents from both sides stood in disbelief…2-2.
The ball was cleared from the free kick and the whistle blew…final result 2-2!

21st March 2010
On a sunny Sunday afternoon the Blues travelled to Stockley Park for an important league fixture. The game could a called a 6-pointer as it would ensure the Blues in 3rd place, whilst setting a clear cut points difference over the 4th and 5th placed opposition.
Well it would have been nice if the Blues had turned up looking for a game of football, but instead a collection of lack lustre, tired and generally disinterested lads turned up. From the start they were not focused on the game, and Explorers took advantage snatching an early goal. The Blues thought about retaliating, but there was no heart in it and the half continued to a 3-0 end.
The half time talk questioned whether they wanted to win, and the response was reasonable, but once back on the pitch they settled into their first half stride; which allowed Explorers to snatch a further two goals…5-0.
Then the Blues decided to attack the game, and showed that when they want to close the opposition down they can, should they wish to pass they can and should they want to work off the ball then that can work too…5-1
Unfortunately that only lasted for approximately 5 minutes, and Explorers pushed forward again to take another 2 goals.
Final score 7-1
The Blues were slack in their effort, did not close down the players, refused to make the tackles, failed to look for the pass and did not even seem disappointed in the result!

Leopards Blue 4 Taplow Boys 2
The demanding part of the season is underway; with seven matches postponed this season from bad weather the team needs to play eight matches in four weeks and complete their cup runs.
So the blues went away to Taplow., a shaky start with the blues not quite awake. The midfield battle got started early with neither side really making an impact, but Taplow got the first break, a ball played through with two blues pulling out from the interception, leaving the keeper on his own…1-0.
The blues restarted and began to settle down into their rhythm, with some good passing the ball was played out wide right and crossed back in for Danny to chase, Jamie overlapped and drilled the ball into the bottom corner 1-1. Unfortunately Danny had to pull up short, with a suspected groin strain, and had to come off. Taplow restarted and the game needed to resettle, but it was 50/50 through to the half time whistle.
The blues started off the second half, and quickly settled in to control the game. The passing was much better, the work off the ball was quicker and the overall energy was higher. The blues soon won the midfield and the game started to flow well, but still mainly down the left side, as the blues seemed to forget the right side existed. Eventually the ball was played wide to Irfan, a quick one two with Kyle and Irfan drilled the ball through the keeper into the net 1-2.
Taplow came back attacking hard, but Sachin, Brandon and Gradie held well in the back line. Ben stepped up to the challenge of controlling two opposing players for most of the half, communicating well with Kyle and Irfan when he felt under too much pressure. The distribution through midfield was good, with Aaron S enabling Aaron R to push forward. This resulted in Aaron R being infront of the posts, with just the keeper to beat, and lifting the ball gently over his head into the net 1-3.
The game restarted and Taplow were busy trying to beat a way through keeping Declan busy, with Gradie behind him. Callum was put under pressure for a short period, but performed superbly, making some excellent saves. The ball was distributed well and played down the quiet right side again to put Jamie in a sweet position to strike at goal, 1-4.
Into the final few minutes and Taplow played some fine football, that finally opened up the back four, beating Brandon and Sachin which allowed Taplow to get one back 2-4.
The second half performance was excellent from the blues, with Ben covering two players throughout the half, Kyle working exceptionally hard both through the middle and out wide right. Sachin’s performance in the sweeper position was superb, and Brandon’s rare excursion from goal was well composed and firm. Callum was confident in goal, communicating well with the team. The passing between Aaron S, Aaron R, Declan, Jamie and Irfan was swift and accurate and delivered some well thought football and easy goals.
Final score 2-4

Leopards Blue 8 Golden Eagles 0
The second game of the weekend saw the Blues at home against Golden Eagles. The Eagles arrived with a team of nine men, but full of spirit to take the game to the Blues.
Eagles started the game, but were soon being put under pressure with the blues two man advantage. Even so eagles were playing some fine football, ensuring that the ball was moving constantly and getting their players moving up and down the pitch with the ebb and flow of the game. The blues were offering a lot of respect to the eagles, and as such were not closing down as fast as they should, allowing the eagles to push well into the blues half. About ten minutes in the blues began to dominate, and played a good ball through to Declan, brought inside to Jamie to drill home.
The blues stole the ball quickly from the restart, keeping it moving around the midfield. This allowed the defence to push forward and keep eagles penned in their half. The ball was distributed down the left wing again, Declan played it in to Jamie, who squared across the box to Kyle to pop home.
Eagles battled well for the remainder of the half, keeping Sachin, Hassan, Ben, Gradie and Jack busy in the back line. The midfield became quite messy for a time, so Aaron R moved off allowing Aaron S and Gradie to hold the role. Jamie came off to rest his ankle and Aaron R went back on with Kyle upfront.
Half time 2-0
The second half was completely different with the blues restarting, and dominating possession. Jack, Ben, Sachin and Hassan stayed at the back proving to be solid under attack; Aaron S, Gradie, Declan and Irfan controlled the midfield; with Aaron R and Kyle upfront. Aaron R was the first to strike with a powerful shot through the keeper into the net.
Eagles restarted and tried to push forward, but yet again the blues stifled the play and attacked their half putting Irfan in striking distance; with a bolt straight passed the keeper. The blues stayed dominant, with Hassan using some great skill to keep the ball in play and send up the line, knocked on by Ben, via Irfan and switched to Declan who won the corner. Aaron R took a short corner with Declan, and struck at goal.
Declan came off and allowed Jamie to play down the left, the blues were completely in control. The next few minutes were really frustrating with Jamie striking at goal, Aaron S missing a sitter, Irfan being pushed over the top and some hard scrambling in the box resulting in nothing. The eagles keeper was outstanding, and the blues were frustrated. Then the game turned again in the blues favour with Kyle snatching a sneaky goal inside the box.
From the restart eagles were visibly tired, and the blues were able to take control. The blues were in the eagles area for a good five minutes, winning corner after corner, with the eagles keeper and defence working hard. Aaron S, Jack, Jamie and Irfan all had good headers, but none found the net, until a fine cross in found jack’s head and he placed the ball into the back of the net. Eagles were still in good spirit, and attempted to attack the blues again, but with no success, and the blues were soon back in the eagles area scrambling around whe Aaron R stuck the boot in for his hat-trick.
Golden eagles played an excellent game of football, using all their players over the pitch, although eventually fatigue took over and the blues were able to dominate the game. Brandon was unfortunately left all on his own at the rear, with little to do, but as usual was not found wanting.
Final score 8-0

Leopards Blue 7 Britwell Boys 0
The Blues visited the Chicken ranch for their third outing against Britwell Boys this season, and picked a fine day to do so. The boys started the game, and quickly settled into a good passing game, retaining possession as much as they could. Britwell also came out fast challenging for every ball, and making the blues work hard to gain the advantage in midfield.
Aaron S worked very hard in the holding mid position to win the ball and allow Aaron R to distribute out to the wings, and this paid off after ten minutes with Danny pushing through to place the ball with composure past the keeper. Britwell restarted and the blues were swiftly in, poaching the ball and sending wide to Irfan who was brought down hard just outside the box. Danny stepped up and sweetly placed the ball just under the cross bar for his second goal.
Britwell restarted well with some good pressure, but the back four were impenetrable; Brandon, Ben, Hassan and Sachin were excellent in winning the ball and distributing back out through the midfield foursome. This short spell of pressure was soon turned around with Hassan and Ben being able to compress the game into the Britwell half. Some fine football between Kyle, Aaron S and Danny put Danny into striking distance and the shot pinged off the post for his hat-trick.
Britwell attacked again from the restart, and came hard through the centre but some superb tackling from Aaron S and Jack soon released the Blues again. Hassan distributed up the left, through Declan who crossed through the box and won the corner. Irfan took the corner, which landed at the feet of Aaron S to put in the back of the net..half time 0-4.
Britwell kicked off the second half with a new sense of purpose, their half time talk must have hit home. Their striker put Brandon under a lot of pressure, but he coped well and was composed enough to shield the ball and distribute wide. Ben supported well, as did Sachin, and the ball was soon making its way back into the Britwell half. The game started to flow back and forth, and Jamie got some action in the goal mouth, which kept him on his toes but he dealt with it all comfortably. After about ten minutes of midfield battle the blues were back in control, Kyle dropped short to poach the ball and lay off to Aaron S followed by a short pass to Aaron R who sent wide for Irfan. Irfan drilled the ball across the box for Kyle to latch onto with a sublime touch to nick a fifth goal.
Britwell started to show signs of defeat, but their captain lifted their spirits with a determined attack through the centre. Brandon and Sachin were solid and laid the ball out for Hassan to take upfield earning a free-kick for the team. Hassan took the kick sending the ball into the box, where it was scrambled out for a corner. The corner ball came close to a goal, but the Britwell defender headed off the line to clear for Ben to take a well thought pop at goal earning a second corner from the other side. Aaron R placed the ball on the edge of the corner spot, looked at the goal, and struck sending the ball curling passed every player into the top far corner of the goal…Britwell were shell shocked and just looked at the goal.
This was the end for Britwell, they were unable to lift their heads and from the restart their spirit was gone. The blues stole the ball and sent down the left wing for Declan to run on, he passed inside to Kyle who laid it out to Irfan for the strike, but Irfan intelligently pulled it back slightly for Declan to pass into the net.
